29 week scare.

one of my biggest fears with pregnancy happened yesterday.  no fetal movement all day.  being 29 weeks pregnant and use to him kicking all the time, then all of a sudden feeling nothing was scary and heart breaking.  pretty much all day i chugged glasses of ice cold water, orange juice (which i also put ice cubes in ), i tried eating sweets, a big meal, shaking my belly around, and laying real still for an hour at a time multiple times and nothing.  he just wasn't budging.

so around 4pm, i gave up and called my OB's office.  i told her everything i had done to try and wake him up and she suggested that i go in to my hospitals L&D department to have a NST done.  so i headed in and arrived around 4:45pm and was hooked up to monitors right away.  of course that's when he started finally moving.  but to be safe they kept me there for a few hours to make sure he was really okay.  they monitored his heart, checked the fluids, as well as made sure he was practicing breathing on his own.  and it turned out everything was great, and all the nurses said he was perfect.

as for today everything is great.  my little man is moving around like crazy! i guess yesterday was just a day where he had a very late start with moving.  guess he's trying to keep me on my toes!

26 weeks!!!!!!

how far along: 26 weeks!!!! i can't believe that i am almost in my 3rd trimester.  this pregnancy is flying by so quickly.  it's insane.  i feel like it was just yesterday that i found out i was pregnant. it's crazy to think that there is only 98 days left till little bean's due date.

total weight gain: 17 pounds

baby is the size of: a head of lettuce

miss anything: sleep! just when i thought it was getting better, it went down hill again.  maybe i jinxed myself! doh! i especially miss sleeping on my stomach and back.

cravings:  sweets!!!!!! i had never been a big sweets person previous to this past week, but lately i have been wanting something like a piece of cake, or a cupcake, or donuts!  oh how i love donuts.  but i have been trying my best to stay away from those foods, and stick to eating healthy things.

belly button in or out:  out.  out all the way.  i actually really like being able to see it when i wear my dresses.

looking forward to:  finishing our nursery. got all the furniture for it finally, and it's all put together.  now just time to decorate.  the BIG thing i am looking forward to, is our vacation next week.  we are going to paris!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can't wait.  i wish it was next week.

best moment this week:  hmmm...the best moment this week was probably when my husband finished all our nursery furniture.  his buddy came up and they worked really hard to put together little beans ikea dresser which took forever.  it came in so many pieces.  i am so happy that's all done with now, and that now i get to decorate.

maternity clothes:  yup!  i am excited that i get some dresses that i ordered in the mail tomorrow.  i love maternity dresses.  so comfy!

labor symptoms:  nothing.

oh where to start!  next week my husband and i are going to paris!!! i am so incredibly excited to go.  my husband has been there before, and i haven't so i am looking forward to him showing me around.  i am so lucky to have such a wonderful man as my husband.  he works really hard to take care of me, and to support our little family.  i love that man!

also this past week the rest of the furniture was put together in little beans room.  it is all so real now that he has a crib in there as well as a dresser and big chair.  i spent some time washing some clothes we have for him, as well as folding them and putting them away.  <3 <3  i just wish it was january so that he could enjoy it all!!!!

well i am totally pooped so i am off to take a nap.  i had tons of things i wanted to update ya'll on, and between being tired, and having pregnancy brain i can't remember anything.  hope everyone has a fantastic rest of the week!!!

25 weeks!!!!!!!

how far along: 25 weeks!!!!!!! I can't believe here is only two more weeks till my third trimester!!! and only 15 weeks till my little bean is due.

total weight gain: 16 pounds

baby is the size of: an eggplant

miss anything: beer.  i've been able to sleep this past week, which has been very nice.

cravings:  nothing really.  lately i have only been craving things if someone mentions something that sounds good.  then the craving doesn't go away.  my bestie andrea is really good at telling me about yummy foods she's eating, which then makes me want it.

belly button in or out:  out

looking forward to:  putting our nursery together this week.  we actually get a big furniture delivery today.  little beans chair and dresser.

best moment this week:  getting to see my sister-in-law and niece lara and rauri. also putting our crib together last night.  it seems all so real now that we have the crib in the room.  i can't wait till we have everything else in there.

maternity clothes:  all the time now.  only thing that is comfy to wear.  i ended up ordering a few more maternity dresses from the gap, because it's the only thing that is comfortable now.

labor symptoms:  nope!!!

last thursday i had my glucose test.  i drank my lemon lime flavored drink on my way in, and then waited patiently in the waiting room and also got to listen to litle beans heart beat and talk to the doctor while i waited to have blood drawn.  i found out some shitty news while there.  apparently i have placenta previa .  the doctor thinks that there is a strong chance that my placenta will move, but it is still really scary.  it is def. not in my birth plan to have a c-section, but now i really don't have a choice unless my placenta moves.  on a good note though, i got a call on friday, letting me know that i passed my glucose test! thank goodness!!!!
