dealing with loss

i lost a really close friend three weeks ago. my friend alex passed away on january 29th unexpectedly. i knew alex for about 16 years, we met in middle school, and have been friends ever since. 

this coming weekend is his service, so we will be heading down to san diego to say our goodbyes. 

so bummed he didn't get to meet my son. the morning bob was born, alex had sent me a text at 10am asking me if i had the baby yet. funny i was totally in the middle of pushing. 

alex, your sense of humor, your honesty, and your friendship is missed. love you friend. rip!
